The last focus group to discuss the possible reconfiguration pour schools is being held on Tuesday April 24th at 5:30pm. The meeting will be held at Skinner Road School. Anyone can attend this meeting regardless of the school your children attend. This is a great opportunity for you to hear what Dr. Conway has been presenting and ask any questions you may have.
Tuesday night (April24th) at 7 pm the Town Council will hold their Annual Town Meeting at Rockville High School. Please consider attending to voice your opinion about the budget cuts and how this will affect our schools. It is so important to be part of this process and to let our elected officials hear our views when making such huge decisions, especially at a time when our schools are in such need of improvement. Please do what you can to support the Vernon schools! Thank you.
Below are some .PDF files with information that was passed along to me on the options that have been discussed regarding restructuring our schools. I thought you might be interested in reading more about the options. I would still encourage you to attend tonight's meeting at 6:00pm to get more information!

SCIENCE FAIR IS COMING!
Northeast School’s Science Fair is set for Friday, April 27, 2012 from 5 to 7 pm.
Students need to register their projects no later than Friday, April 20, 2012 if students plan to participate. There are some restrictions for projects - preferably no animal projects (needs approval if your child is hoping to do this type of project), no hazardous projects and electrical projects need approval as well due to limited outlet space. Registration forms have been sent home. Look for another one this week!
Students can set up their projects Thursday, April 26, 2012 from 4 to 6 pm at the school.
PLEASE SEND IN YOUR CHILD’S REGISTRATION FORM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE FOR PROPER PLANNING OF THE SCIENCE FAIR.

There are many ways to become involved. Help out at an event, clip out Box Tops for Education, or even run one of our many activities. Everyone's participation is welcome and appreciated.
Easy Ways To Help Our School In addition to fund raising events, the PTO runs several ongoing programs to raise money (and other useful stuff) for the school.
