President's Corner:

Julie Garceau

The last focus group to discuss the possible reconfiguration pour schools is being held on Tuesday April 24th at 5:30pm.  The meeting will be held at Skinner Road School.  Anyone can attend this meeting regardless of the school your children attend.  This is a great opportunity for you to hear what Dr. Conway has been presenting and ask any questions you may have.

Tuesday night (April24th) at 7 pm the Town Council will hold their Annual Town Meeting at Rockville High School. Please consider attending to voice your opinion about the budget cuts and how this will affect our schools. It is so important to be part of this process and to let our elected officials hear our views when making such huge decisions, especially at a time when our schools are in such need of improvement. Please do what you can to support the Vernon schools! Thank you.

As many of you may have heard Dr. Conway is planning to have several focus group sessions with parents to talk about the proposed changes for our schools.  This is a chance for you to have a face to face conversation with Dr. Conway about her plans for the Vernon Schools and ask any questions you may have.  Please consider attending this meeting.
The focus group at NES is taking place on Tuesday April 17th at 5:30-6:30pm.
Our monthly PTO meeting will take place right after this meeting at 6:30pm.  If you have time please consider attending both!  The agenda for the monthly meeting will follow.
Hope to see you there!

The next Board of Education meeting is Monday April 16th at 7:00 pm.
There WILL BE time for public comment at this meeting so if you have comments or questions about the proposed changes this is the time for you to speak!!!
There has been a great turnout at the last two meetings so lets keep the momentum going!
Let me know if you have any questions!
